Spanish club Barcelona, \u200b\u200bheaded by Joan Laporta, announced the appointment of German Hansi Flick as technical director of the Catalan team until 2026, succeeding the sacked Xavi Hernandez.
\nAccording to reports in the Spanish newspaper, Barcelona president Laporta asked Flick to eliminate Real Madrid\u2019s control during the next season after Real Madrid\u2019s dominance of all titles. Moreover, the Madrid team signed Mbappe.<\/p>\n
The newspaper \u201cSport\u201d indicated that Flick, Barcelona\u2019s new coach, assured the president of the Catalan club that eliminating the dominance of the royal team would not be an easy task at all.
\nThe newspaper added that Flick believes that the team needs a lot of work as well as special deals in order to compete with Real Madrid at the local and European levels, given the high quality enjoyed by Carlo Ancelotti\u2019s team.<\/p>\n
