\nBarcelona is continuing its efforts to sign the Manchester City striker this summer, who has remained a primary goal for the Catalan team throughout the past period, but the club’s financial crises have prevented the deal from being completed.<\/p>\n
The Spanish newspaper \u201cMundo Deportivo\u201d reported that \u201cSilva (29 years old) tops the wanted list of German coach Hansi Flick and the sports administration in Barcelona, \u200b\u200bthanks to his exceptional technical abilities and his great experience in major competitions.\u201d
\nBarca failed to sign a contract with Silva during the past two seasons, despite the player agreeing to move to the Catalan team in order to fulfill his childhood dream, but all attempts were destroyed due to City\u2019s financial demands and problems with Barca\u2019s salary bill.<\/p>\n
After his transfer to Barcelona failed, Bernardo extended his contract with City until the summer of 2026, but included a release clause of 50 million pounds, an amount that Barcelona can afford, as the player will give up part of his salary to leave for Barcelona.
