Some press sources issued this morning revealed a resounding surprise that the transfer of Spanish international Nico Williams, the star of Athletic Club Bilbao, to Barcelona during the current summer Mercato failed.
\nBarcelona is seeking to strengthen its ranks by signing strong deals in order to add the missing balance to the Barcelona squad, especially after the difficult season that the Catalan team went through last season.<\/p>\n
In a surprising update, Athletic Bilbao published a video clip on its official account on the social networking site X, which included Nico Williams printing his team\u2019s shirt with the number 10.
\nIn the clip that provoked Barcelona fans, the player spoke that he wanted to become a legend in Bilbao and follow in the footsteps of Basque player Iker Muniain.<\/p>\n
The La Roja star had previously played for the Basque Country club with the number 11 before he asked for Muniain’s number 10, which the latter agreed to.
\nTherefore, it is necessary for Laporta to forget that deal and look for an alternative to join Barcelona during the current Mercato.<\/p>\n
