Real Madrid Seeks to Renew Vinicius Junior’s Contract with Salary Increase and Extension.
Real Madrid is looking to renew Vinicius Junior’s contract, offering him a salary increase and an extension for several more years. His current contract is set to expire on June 30, 2027.
Vinicius is a key player in the club’s long-term project, and the club does not expect him to leave. However, if a tempting offer from Saudi Arabia lures him away, Real Madrid may consider allowing his departure, provided certain conditions are met.
According to “Defensa Central, if Erling Haaland is willing to join Real Madrid, the club may not insist on keeping Vinicius and could instead allow him to leave, should that be his wish.
This is the only scenario in which Real Madrid would be open to parting ways with the Brazilian winger. The club has always been open to allowing players who no longer wish to be part of the project to move on, regardless of their status or position within the team.
In fact, Real Madrid reached out to Vinicius last August to initiate contract renewal talks. However, the Brazilian made it clear that he was not interested in negotiating at that time and preferred to postpone discussions until later. In other words, he is not in a rush to finalize a renewal, especially given that his current deal runs until 2027.
On the other hand, Erling Haaland is also facing pressure from Manchester City to renew his contract, but he prefers to maintain flexibility in determining his future. Haaland wants to ensure that he has the freedom to make decisions about his next move, including a potential departure, when the time comes.
