Cruel Pre-Season Blow: Real Madrid Starlet Sidelined with Knee Injury

Real Madrid have been dealt a fresh injury setback during pre-season preparations, with promising young midfielder Thiago Pitararch set for a spell on the sidelines.

The 18-year-old was coming off a breakout 2025/26 campaign where he surprisingly notched 11 starts across La Liga and the Champions League. Pitararch was eager to build on that momentum during the summer tour and solidify his place in the squad under new manager José Mourinho.

However, those plans have hit a major roadblock just weeks into pre-season training.

According to reporter Arancha Rodríguez, as confirmed by transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, Pitararch sustained a knee injury during a recent training session at Valdebebas. Early medical estimates suggest the young midfielder will be out of action until early September, ruling him out for the remainder of pre-season and the opening stretch of the new campaign.
