Real Madrid return for a €100m star.. and one factor could open the door to the deal!
Real Madrid have reopened a file many thought was closed, after the name of one of Europe’s brightest attacking talents reappeared on the club’s radar as a possible target for next summer’s transfer window, even though his club refuses to discuss a sale and values him at 100 million euros.
But one factor could turn everything upside down and open the door to a deal, while two other European giants are circling the same player in a race that could turn into a major auction.
The player in question is Turkish star Kenan Yildiz of Juventus, who is back on Real Madrid’s radar as one of the big possible targets for next summer, according to Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport on Sunday, as reported by Spanish outlet Sport.
Juventus have valued Yildiz at around 100 million euros for about a year, a figure that could rise even further. The Italian club recently extended his contract until 2030 on seven million euros per season and declared him untouchable this summer, with the sporting department seeing him as one of the key players in its new project.
Real Madrid’s interest is not new. The club requested information about him in the winter of 2025, when Xabi Alonso was still coach and the Turkish forward was among his top targets to strengthen the attack. The operation did not progress, because Vinicius Junior’s future was shaping much of the attacking planning at the time. After the Brazilian renewed his contract the picture changed, and so did the bench, with the arrival of Jose Mourinho.
Even so, the interest in Yildiz has not disappeared, and his name is now linked again with Real Madrid’s plans for summer 2027.
The factor that could change everything is Juventus qualifying for next season’s Champions League. Corriere dello Sport says another failure in the race for fourth place could change the club’s plans, as the loss of Champions League revenue would force Juventus to rethink their financial strategy and could open the door to a deal that is not currently on the table.
Bosnian Kerim Alajbegovic also features in that scenario. He joined Juventus this summer from Bayer Leverkusen for around 30 million euros plus five million in add-ons and plays in a similar position to Yildiz, giving the Italian club an alternative within the squad who could become more important if the Turk ends up on the market.
Real Madrid would not be the only suitors. Arsenal considered signing Yildiz last summer and are still monitoring his situation, while Bayern Munich have also kept him on their radar since his development years in Germany, meaning a potential auction between several of Europe’s biggest clubs if Juventus decide to listen to offers.
In any case, Real Madrid would be among the main candidates to try to sign him. For now, Juventus hold firm: Yildiz is a key piece and his price starts at 100 million euros. But the scenario could change if the team fails to return to the Champions League.
