Joan Laporta, Chairman of the Board of Directors of FC Barcelona, made strong statements during his press conference.
Laporta held a press conference in which he revealed that Xavi Hernandez, coach of the Catalan club’s first football team, will continue to coach Barca next season after reaching an agreement with him.

He continued: We saw clearly that Xavi Hernandez wanted to continue. There were many reasons pushing him to do so, so we called everyone to announce the continuation of Xavi Hernandez in a collective decision, and we did not speak to any coach other than him.
He continued: Barca’s three priorities with Xavi next season are to return again to winning the La Liga title, which the team lost this season, and it is absolutely not permissible to fail to reach the knockout rounds in the Champions League.
The third priority is the continuity of positive results and putting an end to the fluctuation in the team’s level, as Barcelona this season was unable to maintain a high level for a long time, and the absence of good performance cost the team many points in La Liga and led to its exit from the King’s Cup.
The Spanish newspaper “Sport” confirmed that Laporta, if any future failure occurs, whether in the league, cup or champions championship, will not have mercy on Xavi again and will give him a farewell kiss.
