Spanish press reports sparked a huge surprise regarding the fact that a star for the first team of Paris Saint-Germain football club moved to Barcelona during the summer transfer period.
Barcelona is seeking to strengthen its ranks by contracting with the best players in the world, despite the financial crisis it is going through, in order to return again as a strong competitor in all tournaments after losing all titles this season.
In light of this, the Spanish newspaper “Sport” revealed that Xavi Simons, the Paris Saint-Germain player loaned to Leipzig, wants to return to Barcelona during the upcoming summer transfer period of 2024.
The newspaper added that the deal will be complicated because its price is 80 million euros and because of the fluctuating relationship between Barcelona and Paris, but the player insists on returning now and Laporta believes that the deal will not be impossible because of the player’s great desire to return to Barca.
Xavi Simons participated with Leipzig in 30 matches in the German League, where he scored goals and assisted 11 goals with Leipzig in Germany. Xavi sees him as a strong addition to Barcelona next season, especially with the possible departure of Ferran Torres and Joao Felix.
