Frenchman Karim Benzema, player of the first team football team for the Saudi club Al-Ittihad, traveled to the Spanish capital, Madrid, to work within the facilities of his former club, Real Madrid. He is recovering from a recent injury.
Reliable Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed, through his account on the “X” social media platform, that Real Madrid showed a helping hand to its former star, Karim Benzema. The Royal Club is making use of its facilities to treat the former French international star and end his suffering from injuries.
Al-Ittihad Club thanked Real Madrid, in a statement in which the Saudi club explained its Spanish counterpart’s assistance to Benzema in recovering from his current injury.
Karim Benzema had joined Al-Ittihad in Jeddah last summer from Real Madrid, and after performing at distinguished levels at the beginning of his career with the team, the French player suffered a series of successive injuries. He also entered into disagreements with the team’s former coach, Nuno Santo, and the current Marcelo Gariado.
