One of the stars of the Spanish club Real Madrid’s first football team is close to leaving the Royal ranks during the upcoming summer transfer period, after his contract officially expired at the Santiago Bernabeu Castle.
Real Madrid is preparing to bring about an unprecedented revolution within the team’s ranks next summer, as the Real Madrid management is heading to thank a large number of the Royal Club’s stars.
The name of Croatian Luka Modric, captain of the Madrid giant, has been linked to leaving the team in the upcoming summer Mercato, after negotiations to renew his contract faltered.
Ramon Alvarez, a journalist for Radio Marca, confirmed that Luka Modric has greatly decided his patience within the Royal team, and his departure has become the closest this season.
He continued: “Frenchman Kylian Mbappe will wear Modric’s number when he arrives at the Bernabeu, and this was agreed upon with the French player.”
He continued: “Modric will meet Perez at the present time, and the player will play 5 upcoming matches from Real Madrid, and if there is no talk of renewing his contract during them, he will leave decisively.”
