Arsenal eye a 58m Man United star.. just 22 minutes played and ready to leave!

Inside Old Trafford there is a star Manchester United paid a fortune for, even beating Real Madrid to his signature, yet today he sits on the fringes barely touching the ball, and the concern in his camp is becoming impossible to hide.

Worse still, the message has reached Europe’s elite, and Arsenal in particular have started monitoring the situation closely, in what would be one of the most dramatic moves between the two rivals in recent years.

The player in question is French defender Leny Yoro, who joined Manchester United from Lille in July 2024 in a £58 million deal after a battle with Real Madrid, but has played just 22 minutes of Premier League football this season.

Head coach Michael Carrick prefers Lisandro Martinez and Harry Maguire at centre-back, leaving the 20-year-old “concerned” about his role at the club, according to CaughtOffside.

A source close to the situation said: “Leny Yoro is concerned about his role, there’ll be talks soon to clarify the situation, but clubs have taken this as a clear message that he’s ready to consider offers.”

The source added: “PSG have the strongest interest, and that dates back to Yoro’s time in France. But from within the Premier League, Arsenal could also be a serious option to watch.”

Arsenal and PSG are not alone either, with Chelsea, Barcelona and AC Milan also admirers of the defender, while Real Madrid’s interest has cooled.

However, a move to Arsenal might not guarantee regular football given Mikel Arteta’s defensive depth, which makes PSG the more likely destination for now, while United are reportedly eyeing new defensive options for next season.
