Spanish media reports have revealed a major move in the summer transfer market, with Chelsea reportedly planning to sign three of Barcelona’s biggest stars in a deal that could exceed €250 million.
According to these reports, American businessman Todd Boehly, one of the London club’s owners, is personally leading this project in an attempt to bolster the team with high-profile signings during the upcoming transfer window.
A Huge Plan to Snatch Barcelona Stars
The reports indicate that Chelsea’s management is considering making offers for three key Barcelona players: French defender Jules Koundé, Spanish midfielder Dani Olmo, and Brazilian winger Rafinha.
The English club aims to finalize these deals during the summer transfer window as part of a plan to strengthen the squad with players capable of making a difference in both domestic and European competitions.
Big Bid for Koundé
According to reports, Chelsea are planning to make an offer of around €65 million to sign Jules Koundé, who can play both center-back and right-back.
The French player is under a long-term contract with Barcelona that runs until the summer of 2030 and has made over 180 appearances for the club since joining.
Dani Olmo’s Situation
The London club is also monitoring the situation of attacking midfielder Dani Olmo, who is under contract with Barcelona until 2030.
The player has made 73 appearances for the team in all competitions, scoring 19 goals and providing 13 assists, making him a player of interest to several European clubs.
Rafinha a Key Target
Brazilian winger Rafinha is a key target in Chelsea’s transfer plans, as the club looks to bring him back to the Premier League after years away from Leeds United and his move to Barcelona in 2022.
The Brazilian is considered one of the best attacking wingers in Europe right now, making the potential deal a major talking point in the transfer market.
Ongoing Spending Project
Since Todd Boehly took over the club in 2022, Chelsea has spent around £1.5 billion on first-team signings, aiming to return the team to serious contention for domestic and European titles.
With the summer transfer window approaching, the plan to sign these Barcelona stars could become one of the biggest deals of the European transfer market if negotiations are successful.
