Real Madrid are on the verge of pulling off one of the summer’s biggest transfer coups, closing in on the signature of RB Leipzig sensation Yan Diomande after Paris Saint-Germain pulled out of the race.

Negotiations between the two clubs have progressed rapidly in recent days. After an initial approach was turned down roughly a week and a half ago, Real Madrid countered with an improved package worth around €120 million ($130m), including €100 million in guaranteed fees.
Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano reports that a full agreement has now been struck for a total package exceeding €100 million.
Diomande is expected to travel to the Spanish capital later this week to complete his medical examination before putting pen to paper on a five-year contract at the Santiago Bernabéu.
