Real Madrid’s proposed £100m-plus deal to sign RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande has hit a sudden roadblock following an unexpected row between rival player agents.
The 19-year-old Ivory Coast international recently agreed personal terms with Los Blancos after Paris Saint-Germain pulled out of the race, citing exorbitant transfer and wage demands. With documentation and contract terms already finalized, Diomande appeared set to sign a five-year contract at the Santiago Bernabéu.

However, according to AS, the transfer has been put on ice due to a formal dispute over representation rights between Maxidel Management—run by former Leeds player Max Gradel—and Roc Nation, the agency owned by Jay-Z that signed Diomande in February.
Maxidel, who facilitated Diomande’s move from Leganés to Leipzig last year, have lodged an official complaint with FIFA alleging a breach of contract. They argue that they retain valid representation rights until the player officially departs the Bundesliga side, while Roc Nation maintain that they are his sole representatives.
Real Madrid were reportedly unaware of the conflict until the complaint was submitted. While the administrative holdup remains outside Madrid’s direct control, club officials must await FIFA’s ruling regarding the International Transfer Certificate before proceeding with registration, ensuring no regulatory penalties occur if fees are distributed during the ongoing dispute.
