Real Madrid officials, headed by Florentino Perez, have entered into a strong competition with their counterparts Paris Saint-Germain to sign the star of the first football team of Arsenal during the next summer transfer period 2025.
Real Madrid seeks to strengthen its ranks with the best players in the world in order to continue to control all European and international titles.
In light of this, the Spanish newspaper “AS” revealed that the Real Madrid club management is competing with Paris Saint-Germain to sign French defender William Saliba, a player for Arsenal, during the next summer transfer period.
The newspaper added that Saliba has been performing brilliantly with Arsenal during last season’s competitions, as he led the team to compete for the English Premier League title until the last round.
The newspaper continued that Paris Saint-Germain’s task in signing Saliba will be difficult, especially since the player is bound by a contract with Arsenal until the end of 2027, in addition to Real Madrid’s entry into the competition for the deal.
The newspaper added that Perez is preparing to include French player Aurelien Tchouameni in the deal in order to tempt Arsenal to sell the player, which greatly increases Real Madrid’s chances of winning the deal.
The newspaper concluded that Arsenal’s Spanish coach Mikel Arteta is a big fan of French star Tchouameni and sees him as the missing piece in Arsenal’s midfield, which makes Real Madrid’s task of signing defender Saliba easier.
