The newspaper “Mundo Deportivo” reported that Kimmich, who was a target for Barcelona to bolster the midfield before utilizing the young duo Casado and Bernal, has completely changed his stance regarding leaving the Bavarians.
It was explained that Kimmich’s contract with Bayern Munich ends next June, and initial indicators suggested the imminent end of his career with the Bavarians and his potential move to Barcelona.
However, the newspaper “Bild” confirmed that Kimmich is seriously considering continuing with Bayern after receiving an offer to renew his contract with a significant salary increase, in addition to being granted the captaincy of the team.
Bild also pointed out that Kimmich remains a fundamental pillar in the plans of his Belgian coach, Vincent Kompany, who has included him in all the team’s matches this season.
The report concluded by stating that Kompany urged Bayern Munich management to do everything possible to keep Kimmich within the team.
