This summer is expected to be the busiest in the last decade for Real Madrid in terms of departures and arrivals, following a series of injuries that have plagued the team—particularly in defense. As a result, the club is considering several changes.
According to Relevo on Monday, five or six players are set to leave Real Madrid, while four new signings are expected to arrive, in addition to the appointment of a new coach.
The situation regarding Lucas Vázquez is not fully resolved, and both parties need to sit down and have discussions. Lucas’s perspective will be taken into account. His contract expires this summer, and although a renewal remains possible, the likelihood of his departure is currently higher—especially with the anticipated arrival of Trent Alexander-Arnold.
If Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modrić wishes to stay and is willing to adjust his salary, as he has done in recent seasons, he will remain at the club.
The futures of David Alaba and Brazilian forward Rodrygo are still uncertain. The club would not oppose Alaba’s departure, but his high salary and current form make such a move difficult. Regarding Rodrygo, a conversation with Xabi Alonso will take place to define his role in the squad, after which a final decision will be made. Real Madrid is open to selling him, and interest from the Premier League is growing. Manchester City has long admired him, and Arsenal have recently made inquiries. His market value is estimated at around €100 million.
Neither Fran García nor Ferland Mendy are eager to leave at this stage, but the club would be open to listening to offers. As for Vinícius, despite ongoing speculation, the general consensus within the club is that he will renew his contract.
