German coach Hans Flick, the coach of the first football team at Barcelona, suffered his second defeat in his career in the Champions League.
A few moments ago, the final whistle was blown for the Barcelona match against its French counterpart Monaco, which brought them together at the Louis II Stadium in the first round of the Champions League.
According to information received from the Catalan newspaper “Sport”, the German coach is unprecedentedly angry with Barcelona star Ter Stegen, so much so that he did not wait and went directly after the match to the locker room and spoke to the player in an offensive manner.
The newspaper added that Flick angrily told Ter Stegen not to put his teammates under threat because of his dangerous passes that implicated his teammate Eric Garcia and caused his expulsion.
The newspaper added that Laporta also went down to the locker room after the match ended and spoke to Ter Stegen and told him to his face that he was Barcelona’s worst player in this match and he was primarily responsible for tonight’s loss to Monaco.
Laporta spoke with Flick and criticized him for his delay in substituting the Polish player who was the worst in Barcelona after Stegen and told Flick to be quicker in his decisions because Lewandowski did not make any correct decisions throughout the match and was a burden on his teammates.
The newspaper confirmed that Flick was frank with Laporta and told him that the presence of Ter Stegen, Ferran Torres and Inigo Martinez in Barcelona would expose the team to many defeats, especially Ter Stegen, who would cause Barcelona’s season to collapse due to his disastrous level.
Hansi Flick asked Laporta to sign strong deals to support the attack and defense line, otherwise Barcelona is a great candidate to leave empty-handed without any title as happened last season.
The newspaper concluded that Flick went to Barcelona’s young star Marc Casado and congratulated him despite the loss for his wonderful effort and that he bore the numerical shortage of the Catalan team and was fighting alone in the middle of the field.
